Kristy Ledesma
CEO
Kristy was born with a servant's heart. She has always felt a strong force within her toward helping people in any way possible; you need it and she'll find a way to get it for you! She is a daughter, sister, mother, and wife and every single one of those titles drives her ambition to care and to serve. When she was 13 years old her brother was born 4 months early with cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities. She has experienced the Special Needs world first hand. Kristy not only saw what a forgotten community these individuals are in, but also how emotionally and physically taxing it is on a family; especially when not informed of and directed toward the best services available. She started A Fair Choice, Inc. to create a space where Special Needs individuals could come to feel loved and appreciated for who they truly are, Kings and Queens in their own right. AFC is a place where families can gain information and send their loved ones knowing they are in the absolute best hands. A Fair Choice is Kristy's pride and joy and she has worked and will continue to work extremely hard to be an advocate for her participants and all of their needs.

Karen
Program Director
Karen has been with AFC for 8+ years, starting out as a volunteer. As with every career opportunity she has pursued, she worked her way up from volunteer to Program Director using her energetic work ethic and singular knowledge in the special needs field. She started her experience in special needs care directly out of college in 1992 as a direct care professional at G.B. Cooley Services advancing her way to a QMHP. Though Karen is the Program Director at AFC she is also a hands on heart and soul to the clients, where ever she is needed she is there, no questions asked. Be it Direct Care at dayhab, group home, or community outings, she has a heart for serving. Karen not only dedicates her life to her career in the special needs industry but also her personal life as she has a special needs son who is now 21 years old. Karen firmly believes that we all have our own disabilities in life, no one is excluded, so every one deserves the opportunity to try to learn and fit in for themselves. She says, "Do not try to make anyone into what you think they should be, let them become who they want to be." She knows that AFC is an organization that values her motto and therefore she is proud to be apart of the family. Karen loves to travel in her personal time, in fact she treats her birthday as a federal holiday each year and makes sure she is always on an island or a cruise, no exceptions.

Breanna
Executive Administrator
Breanna has been with AFC for 6 years and special needs is her world. Five years ago her son spent the first 190 days of his life inthe NICU and he came through his struggle a strong boy with many complications, two months later she came to work at AFC. Her experience at AFC has opened up a world of resources that are not only beneficial for her own journey with her son, but for the growth of AFC as well. The world in regards to special needs resources and medical care is always changing and part of Breanna's focus at AFC is to be in the know of how those changes can help and benefit the clients. Breanna has a Bachelor's degree in Education and loves to create a custom curriculum for special needs schooling and supports here at AFC. She is passionate about being a mother and she serves on the Family Advisory Counsel at Cook Children's. When given the opportunity she enjoys getting out of the office for community outings to interact and share laughs with AFC's clients.

Registered Nurse
Erin has over 18 years experience as a Registered Nurse. She is a teacher at heart! She has home-schooled her 2 daughters over the past 13 years! We love her passion to teach, serve, create systems and processes that help us become better and grow! Nurse Erin is a God-send and we are thankful!
